In
crisis, is our refounding.

A
Reflection on Scripture:
Luke 24: 1 - 6a (may be done alone or in
community)
Theme
- Why do you seek
the living among the
dead?:
Read
slowly and reflectively the gospel account in Luke
24. You may use the following questions to
begin to consider and prayer over the scripture and its
meaning to you today, at this time:
When did the women begin to feel the stirring of the God-fire within them?
When do I feel the stirring of this God-fire/new life within me?
When does the sense of excitement in this new life fill me?
What steps do I need to take now?
| When am I seeking the living among the dead? |
Blessed Edmund
His faith in God, coupled with the deep intuition that life could be different, lit the fire that transformed his life.

Congregation
The
call to religious brotherhood - “a state of life
complete in itself” (Perfectae Caritatis no. 10) - is
a call to the full potential of our manhood. We draw
on our personal gifts, accept our limitations and avail of
the opportunities to choose life in order to grow to
maturity as balanced and integrated persons. ... We accept
that those aspects of our congregational life which do not
foster human growth need to be
addressed.
At the end of your reflection and prayer you may choose
to close this time with a formal prayer such as the
following:
PRAYER
You did a marvel for Your friends, Lord,
and You make us feel beside ourselves in
surprise.
Our spirit glows with Your understanding of our
difficulties.
We smile and smile with You as you encounter your disciples
confused,
We are drowning in the confusion of Your
friends
as they discover the emptiness of the
tomb.
You have won, Lord, we know You have
won!
You have defeated all the worst that we could
do,
each alone and all together.
You crushed the power of darkness and of
death
to walk peacefully again in our flesh,
now and forever.
Come to us, great Lord of Life,
as You come to all Your friends.
Send us to console those around us who
hurt.
Come and send us into this daily world
to labor full of hope for the Reign of
God,
to help others to understand the story, their story and
your story.
